Café Rouge requested us to film a promotional video for their social media competition. Café Rouge is a French-styled restaurant chain established in London 1989, with over 120 sites across the UK. Presenting itself as a friendly bistro, Café Rouge offers a warm and cosy space to relax with good friends. You can read about this update in our blog.
Social Media Competition
When our client had contacted us, Café Rouge had been running a Christmas competition called Pass the Parcel. To compliment this, our client wanted to create a promotional video to show off the lovely Christmas decorations and festivities. They wanted to promote this competition to encourage viewers to get involved on social media. It ended with a call-to-action to post a comment on what they loved about Christmas, tagging a friend as well. The aim was to prove both the effectiveness and affordability of creating video content in order to attract more traffic from social media pages to their own website. This would lead viewers to make bookings and check out other current deals and offers.
Capturing the Festivities
After discussing with our client what they wanted, we travelled to London to capture footage of their Christmas Staff Party. We recorded fun little messages from certain members as they passed around a gift-wrapped present. Soon after, we received brand assets for animation, and after some feedback, split the video into two. One to focus on the Christmas atmosphere; and the other to specifically promote the competition. After a second round of feedback, they requested another video for New Years eve, using the same footage before. Tweaking the colours slightly, we edited another video using different clips and avoiding anything overly festive.
Our Pass the Parcel competition video garnered a huge amount of online interactions, reaching over 44,000 people, and our Christmas Celebrations and New Years Eve videos both collected more than 130 bookings each.
